In May 2018 Somfy announced the release of the Sonesse 30 Wirefree lithium battery powered motor. Somfy’s earlier battery motor, the Rollup28, could only lift 2m x 2m blinds, which limited its usability. The external battery wand was also a bit of a nuisance.
This new motor fills a gap in the market.
- It can easily lift 3m x 3m blinds
- It has an internal lithium ion battery
- It uses the same reliable RTS remote technology as 240V motors.
- It is priced very competitively
Battery lifetime is an amazing 10 months before it needs to be recharged using the 12V charging unit.
So this new motor comes as a great improvement.
